Looking for that unique item for your man cave? Well, this is it! Sowa & Reiser framed mickey mouse historical character hand painted Sowa & Rieser etching!! This is a very cool collector's item as it was created with a steel engraving needle scratched by the artist into varnish-covered zinc or copper plate. In an acid bath, the etch is created to the desired depth. The printing is then done with a hand-driven printing press on wet handmade paper. After drying the etchings are individually hand-colored with watercolors. Outside of the plate along the bottom of this sketch, it is hand-numbered out of an edition of only 500 ever made of each sketch, signed "Sowa & Reiser ", and “Disney” in pencil. This sketch is a 12"x16" sketch which is very very hard to find as Sowa & Reiser usually do their sketch 7"x7" in size, never this large. They might even be discontinued in the 12x16 size format.
As we all know original Disney anything artwork goes for big money as Disney collectors love their Disney, own original hand-painted artwork at a fraction of the cost!! This is a very cool piece as you see mickey dressed as different characters and includes on the far left mickey as he was first designed by Walt Disney himself!
